Meet the Captain
The Captain and Owner is Blaise Boyd, whose family has lived in the area for 8 generations and fished commercially for 4. Blaise was born and raised in Antigonish and owned his own lobster gear at the age of 17. After 5 years, he moved to Calgary, Alberta and opened several successful fish and seafood businesses including Boyd’s Lobster Shop and Boyd’s Seafood Restaurant.
Once Blaise made his mark in Calgary, he headed back east to return to his true passion of fishing. He currently holds commercial licenses for lobster, scallops, mackerel, herring and tuna.
